Well we went 2-2 for the week.

We had the Tiger-Cats -9.5 against the Alouettes but it was Montreal coming away with the 26-23 upset.  They Alouettes won their first game with their new coach. Montreal had the lead for most of the game and were never behind. They managed to pick up 5 sacks and an interception  For Hamilton the loss snapped their 5 game winning streak.

Even with the +4.5 points, we lost the Argonauts vs Eskimos game when Edmonton won with ease 38-15. I thought this game was going to be close.   Boy was I wrong.  The Eskies put up 10 points in the 1st and 21 in the 4th in the pounding and led the entire game. Big game from Eskimos QB James Franklin who went 29-38 for 335 yards and a  touchdown. Wide receiver Derek Walker caught 7 balls for 164 yards and a score. Huge win for Edmonton who stayed 2 points behind the division leading Stamps.

Next we had the Stampeders -6 against the Blue Bombers and the Stamps destroyed them 36-8. Bo Levi Mitchell went 19-26 for 314 yards and 2 TDS and Eric Rogers caught 7 for 152 yards.  Calgary’s D was strong in this game.  The had 5 sacks and 2 picks. With the win the Stampeders remained in 1st place in the West and moved into 1st overall with the Ticats taking the loss .

The final tip for the week was the Redblacks -3.5 vs the Roughriders and Ottawa won 35-13.  The Redblacks RB Jeremiah Johnson had a great game rushing the ball for 92 yards and three touchdowns. And how about the Ottawa D.  The had an interception and 10 sacks. The Riders are now 0-9 on the season.

Here is the schedule for week 11.

Thursday, September 3rd Lions vs Alouettes @ 7:30pm
Sunday, September 6th Blue Bombers vs Roughriders @ 4:00pm
Monday, September 7th Argonauts vs Tiger-Cats @ 1:00pm, Eskimos vs Stampeders @ 4:30pm

Lions vs Alouettes Betting Tips

After the big win last week over the Ticats you have to think that the Alouettes have momentum on their side. These teams played each other back in week 9 and it was the Alouettes coming away with the 23-13 win.  Montreal on a two game win streak at home against the Lions who are riding a two game losing streak.  Something tells me the Als are going to go on a tear here and climb back into East standings.

Blue Bombers vs Roughriders Betting Tips

The Riders are favored in this one.  I still can’t back them yet.  This may very well be the game where they finally pick up their first win of the season.  In week 1 when these teams met the Bombers won 30-26.  They play again next week in Winnipeg. I can’t bet on the Riders until they actually win a game. And with the Bombers getting points this is a no brainer for me.

Blue Bombers +3.5 for 1.91

Argonauts vs Tiger-Cats Betting Tips

This is should be good game to watch.  Both are 6-3 and tied for 1st in the East. The Ticats had their winning steak snapped last week so they’ll be looking for a nice bounce back game here.  Hamilton won the first meeting between these 2 back in week 6 34-18 so the Argos need this game to even the series and have a shot at winning the season series.  I see this game being closer then their last game so I’m going to take Toronto with the points.

Argos +7.5

Eskimos vs Stampeders Betting Tips

This is going to be a great game between the #1 & #2 teams in the West.  Calgary currently sits in 1st with 14 points, the Eskimos 2nd with 12.  They are both  comfortable at the top though with the Lions and Bombers in 3rd and 4th with 6 points and the Riders in 5th with…..

Calgary is on a 4 game win streak and they’re at home where they are 5-0.

Stamps -5 at Bovada for 1.91
